What is GeekFest
Geek Fest is a small/medium convention born and bred in South Jersey. After our series very successful and fun shows at this location we are getting a huge show of support. We have had more than 15,000+ attendees, volunteers, vendors and guests in four years with our amazing shows!
We just want to bring folks together to appreciate their own version of geek. The floor will be divided into vendors and artists/game devs/youtube-web folk and some tournaments/open board game play.
Geekfest will have a huge selection of vendor tables for you at the event, please make sure you stop by and say hi to everyone.
We are adding food trucks for the coming Spring Event. Stay tuned for some amazing food vendors to tickle your fancies.
Come be passionate about something Geeky with some new or old friends. No judgement here.
YoYo folks, Music, Wrestling, Larpers, SCA, Cosplay Kickball, what else could you possibly want?
Geek fest is a celebration of your geekery featuring comics, art, tabletop games, music, video games, YouTubers, Yo-Yo’s, cosplayers and much much more.
Our goal is to put on a medium, one day convention in southern NJ to have some fun with our geeky interests. The word geek is a slang term originally used to describe eccentric or non-mainstream people, with different connotations ranging from “an expert or enthusiast” to “a person heavily interested in a hobby”, with a general pejorative meaning of “a peculiar or otherwise dis-likable person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual”. Although often considered as a pejorative, the term is also used self-referentially without malice or as a source of pride. Its meaning has evolved to connote “someone who is interested in a subject (usually intellectual or complex) for its own sake.”
